Could we have an event for when an object goes inactive? Something like 'EventHandlerEntityBecameInactive'.
This would help with removal of no longer relevant objects.

Sounds good; I'll add that in when the event system gets revised. That might take a while (the collision system rewrite is a very high priority right now), so if you need it soon, let me know and I'll try to get it in faster.
