Games using bepu

Post by Danthekilla »

Hey everyone I thought I should make a topic for everyone to post pictures, videos etc... of all the great games they are making using bepu!

Heres our game which is getting close to being finished.

It's called Blast!
And it's a fully 3d adventure puzzle game!

Heres few videos

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qegBbelF9I4

Our website http://www.2point0studios.com

And a random development picture

Any thoughts on our game?
Anyone have any games they are working on to show off?

Contraptions; how do they heckin work?
It's simple, just take the hydraulic phase ship emulator and attach it to the photon particle emitter, BAM, new tower!

I'm working on a first person immersive space sim I'm code naming Derelict for the time being. The hook is that players can walk around inside of ships as well as pilot them, and there are other ships and stations to explore. Sort of System Shock meets Star Control 2.

Hi there,
Found this thread, and thought I would just throw our game onto the list: Monkey Mini Golf for Windows 7 Phone
The game trailer can be found here:
http://pc.mmgn.com/News/Monkey-Mini-Golf-Trailer
(or via our website here: http://www.ignitionstudios.com.au/2011/game-trailer/)

Here is some quick screen shots of the game, but more can be found on the game site itself here:

While currently, we use the BEPUPhysics engine in a limited form, we know that it is capable of so much more, and if we get some more time, plan to develop courses with more physics based interaction for future releases.
BEPUPhysics really saved us some time and effort, so we are very grateful to the library authors. :)
Oh, and I know this is my first post. We have just been so busy getting the game done lately, that we have had no time. I will be contributing to the forums where and when I can now - sorry if this initial post feels a bit spammy, we are just really excited about the game and want to get the word out I guess. :)

No worries; that is what the thread is here for- it's always interesting to see what people are doing!

(And also, belated compliments to Derelict :))

Hi,

I've just released Coin Toss OMG!+ for Windows Phone. It is more a novelty app than a game but it uses the awesome Bepu physics.

Great topic - its very inspirational to see what everyone is up to. So here's my pen'th:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYTgJ8cldug

This isn't in the same league as some of the other posts here, and is just something I've been working on recently. It is definitely a Work In Progress and may never see the Windows Phone Marketplace, but I'm enjoying tinkering with it. The demo in the vid uses versions of the original Elite procedural galaxy and trading algorithms described by Ian Bell (one of the original authors of Elite back in the 8-bit days) on his website, so I can fly around a galaxy that is identical to the original 48k speccy version of Elite I used to play :)

The space flight engine uses BEPU for all the objects, which allows the flight characteristics of different ships to be easily modified - plus, of course, it deals with all the collisions - as I'm sure you all know, that in itself is a massive boost!

Anyway, I hope someone might find it interesting...

Cheers

E
