partition

Post by BoltonBeedz »

will there be partitioning on statics or should i do my own; creating/deleting from the space? you know it makes sense.

Yes, I will be adding a revised broadphase system which avoids brute force checks. It will coincide with or come before heightmaps, probably version 0.4.0. It's high on the to-do list, but there's some optimizations and features that need to be put in ASAP (better joint/constraint support, physics data import/exporting tool, etc.). These will be coming in the next feature release, hopefully fairly soon.

Chronologically speaking, if you cannot afford to wait the month or so (hopefully sooner) that it takes me to release v0.4.0, it may be wise to create your own.
