As fun as it is to hit the ball into orbit, that won't be there in the finished levels for obvious game play reasons =O

WUT? NU, THAT WOULD'VE BEEN THE SOLE REASON FOR ME PLAYING THAT!
It's simple, just take the hydraulic phase ship emulator and attach it to the photon particle emitter, BAM, new tower!

Indeed it was. I'm sorry Zukarakox, but I will be pulling all future financial backing from your project. There is no market for balls when they aren't hit by a smooth rod and put into orbit.
Will crabs be playable characters?

I think this project will be better off without your endorsements.
I should add, there will be sandbox levels that aren't part of the core mini golf game.

mk doods - I need some ideas for the power gauge for the final version - should the putter go farther and closer to the ball (rotation wise) to indicate power, or should I have a power bar like most golf games? Or something completely else?

I think you should be able to choose how far back it rotates with the up/down AND have a power bar. The combination of the two control the total power. In using a real putter it is easy to control how far back you start your swing. However, hitting with precisely consistent power is more difficult with no easy way to gauge it other than what you 'feel'.

Ok guys -- new version is about ready, but in the meantime

Anyone have a good name? This point of the game is the physics engine being used (well it is now due to http://www.3dultraminigolf.com/) as well as the physical effects of planets and things.

Given my 5 seconds of brainstorming I came up with 'Physics Golf'... if I have to use that I will shoot all of you :(
