Re: v0.15.0 Early Beta

Hey norbo just a quick question. I think I remember you saying that you were not sure if compound bodys would support compound bodys in them in the .15 branch of bepu... I was just wondering if this was still the case or if this may get implimented. Also one other question, I am prototypeing a game ...

Re: Version Roadmap

Ahh sorry I misread your post. But the general case running faster than box vs box... thats incredible Are there any enhancements being made to the broadphase in this or future versions? Does bepu use a quadtree for it or a 3 axis sweep and prune or what? At the moment Sphere to box and Sphere to Sp...

Re: Version Roadmap

AWESOME!!! But seriously that sounds great. So the box vs box is around 25% faster, that is a nice improvement considering that the box vs box was already very fast. Is that because of broadphase improvements or improvements to the actual box narrowphase? What kind of improvements can we expect on ...

Re: A question about the world and object bounds

Works great :)

I was also suprised with the performance... Doing 64,000,000 checks against my entire (large) world takes only 4 seconds and reduces the abient occlution render time to less than a tenth of a percent of what it used to take.

Thanks.

A question about the world and object bounds

Hey norbo I am wondering what the best way would be to get the space that all objects are contained in but with a large margin... So something like a hull surounding all of the bounding boxes put together with a margin of like 10 or something... Basicly i want to be able to have a fast way to check ...

Re: Performance issue on Xbox

20 objects with 50 vertices each will run very badly on the xbox 360, your pc's cpu is anywhere between 3 and 25 times faster nowdays... Things i would suggest would be: 1. Find out wether its the broadphase or narrowphase that is slowing it down (i would assume narrowphase because of the 50 vert ob...

Games using bepu

It's called Blast! And it's a fully 3d adventure puzzle game! Heres few videos http://www.youtube.com/...

Re: Small bugs and lots of questions...

The one I'd recommend is something like the XNA picking sample, and I'm not sure a different content processor would address the crashes you were experiencing. I think those problems might have to be dealt with directly. This processor seems to give us some broken data when we use it, and we had to...

Small bugs and lots of questions...

Hey Norbo, I have a few issues that have cropped up lately. We upgraded to 14.3 and now around 30% of our static tri meshes return mesh verts that are in the wrong location... So we tried to build a content processor to extract the vertices and also tried the one on the xna website in the picking sa...
