Re: Unity and Bepu v2 notes

Yall know of any other libraries people might be trying to use in Unity that would benefit from this?

Re: Unity and Bepu v2 notes

I submitted a bug report. Unity QA did not treat it as a bug and recommended that I make a feature request in the forums. After going through the process with QA I believe the thread is our best bet. So it might be worth to go in, pick up the convo, talk about why you'd like to see it supported... h...

Re: Unity and Bepu v2 notes

So It's actually pretty easy to get Bepu 2 working in Unity (2019+) now. However as Norbo already showed there is a breaking bug with Unity's JIT compiler, and Bepu 2 is very slow in Unity. So if you're making a game that doesn't have Box-Box collisions and can fiddle around until Unity fixes compil...

Re: Unity and Bepu v2 notes

I still can't get Vector<T> in Unity. It doesn't seem to exist in Unity's many incarnations of the Numerics library.

Unity and Bepu v2 notes

Edit: This first post is irrelevant now... I'm just putting this here for maybe future use and save somebody the effort. It's mostly about unlocking C# 7.x in Unity but maybe we can add more info as it becomes relevant. Bepu v2 uses the latest C# 7.3 features, and though Unity has some C# 7.x featur...

Re: Translating BEPUphysics v1 to Unity ECS & Job System

This will be interesting, I'd love to see this developed. A loosely coupled Bepu v1 kinda defeats the purpose of using v1 at all in Unity. Watching your video, you may already know, but Unity does have c# features up to 7.2 if you enable them with an .rsp file. But v2 makes heavy use of 7.3 so it's ...

Procedural textures / MapZone

I started using this program way back when it was first introduced and forgot all about it. It is pretty damn awesome though. I was just looking at the website and noticed they have a partnership with microsoft for XNA compatability. It uses a graphic tree interface like the materials editor in XSI ...
